Service Description

KS3 is where habits form: how a student reads, how they approach writing, whether they see English as something they're good at or something to get through. Getting this stage right matters more than it's often given credit for. My sessions build core skills in reading comprehension, analysis and writing, working from wherever a student currently is rather than a fixed script. Some students need to close specific gaps. Others need help finding their footing after a difficult year, or simply need room to enjoy books and writing again before GCSE pressures set in. I keep lessons calm and focused, with plenty of space for a student to think things through rather than just absorb answers. Confidence at this age comes from feeling supported, not judged, and that's what allows real progress to take hold.
